Jim states, "My wife and I were just in England and got to spend a day in the Banbury
area... We were also able to learn quite a bit about the Banbury Parish church (St.
Mary's) where Matthew and many of his descendants were members. The original church
fell down, beginning with collapse of the north aisle on Sunday, December 12, 1790
with the tower falling the next day. We were also quite lucky, as we found and
purchased an etching of the original church that was printed in 1785."
